Headphones My neighbour has the LG26LC3R TV, so as not to disturb anyone late at night he uses headphones. We cannot find a headphone socket on this TV or any info in the user manual. Is he able to use headphones with this TV? Many thanks.

This TV does not have a headphone socket, which is unusual. There are audio outputs (RCA phono) which may be used with an amplifier or tape deck to drive the headphones.

    Guest's solution will work but is unlikely to provide adequate volume. Most RCA's will have a fairly high output impedance.

Buy a converter that goes from RC to 1/8" audio phone jack (or 1/4" if you're old school). It's jsut a wire that's RCA on one end and phone jack on the other. You could even make one! Then set the audio source to external, and you're rolling.

No the headphone jack doesn't disable the speakers. There are two switches in the lower middle of the receiver that are labeled speaker A and B. Pushing one of these should disconnect the speakers from the receiver.
