The blue dots are due to a failing optic block. The lamp is only making them show up more obviously. The TV is probably failing as the blue dots will get larger and eventually take over the screen.
Hello, Sounds like an LVDS Cable or T-con Board. Usually this will slowly get worse until it is repaired. It is caused by a failing T-con (Control) Board or connecting cable. T-Con Will Need replacement. This picture show's more extreme T-con board failures
It sounds like the Blackberry Messenger Icon which means you have messages in Blackberry Messenger. To get rid of the icon you simply have to go read the messages. This is the only icon i can think of that is blue with white dots that would be on top of the screen.
Sounds like the cyan photoconductor unit needs to be replaced. Usually what ever the color dot is that photoconductor has a pinhole in it and the only to get rid of it is to replace it.
its sounds like the guns has burnt your yube, when switching of does your tv show a bright circle in the middel, or while watching. Smack your tv on the side while on see if the picture goes away or make a bright circle in the middel, this is caused by a bad solder joint but you wont get rid of the bunt pixels sorry.
I too have the same problem with the blue screen and also some dots in the center of the screen. I went to the sony site (www.sony.com) and found the answer. They will repair the unit until Dec 31, 2008. hope this helps
