My Jura Capresso C100 tea kettle #261 does not heat water
On the Capresso tea kettle, the blue light on the control knob should remain on until the required temperature. Instead, the blue light flashes and the water does not heat.
The kettle IS properly seated on its base.
I use filtered water from my refrigerator dispenser, so sediment is not a problem.
Many thanks.

After the rinse cycles are complete, refill Descaling solution & continue descaling the rest of the machine using hot water dispensing function, until the tank is empty. Finally, give a final flushing of machine to flush out remaining descaling solution inside the machine. Services Unlimited Inc Parts Guru Since 1988
2 things descale the unit as per user book or make the grind coarser. this is done in or near the coffee beans container. turn the knob in the direction of the larger dot or bean symbols
I found out where it goes, thanks to Juergen, who pointed me toward his excellent page on Jura cleaning: see figure 7d, copied here
which shows the yellow clip helping to hold on the tea pipe. I'm guessing that if you don't use the tea pipe, you will be okay. Otherwise you can just put that clip back on next time you clean the machine.
Hi Nancy. There is a fuse or fuse like device in the bottom of your teakettle. There is also a temperature control switch which may be faulty. (if faulty, it is 'open' and the pot thinks the water is hot already) If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can probably find and replace it. You will need the replacement part and tools to install it, including pliers, screw driver and a crimp tool.
since it is three months old, you should consider contacting the manufacturer for relief on this matter.
Good luck on your repair and thanks for visiting FixYa.com today.
Vinegar is very good at removing scaly deposits. Heat white/clear vinegar just as you would normally heat the water for your tea. After heating the vinegar, pour out and rinse thoroughly with water. If there are still deposits after this first attempt, use vinegar once again. Once you are satisfied that all the deposits have been removed, heat water in the tea pot 2-3 times to remove any smell or taste from the vinegar (before using for tea).
I had one that set for 6 months that had that problem. Air had gotten into the water lines. Opened the hot water tap a few times and then removed the end of the water line that runs from the solenoid to heater block to at the solenoid end to bleed air out. It could also have been some calcium deposits that blew out with the air blocking the line. Then I replaced the end of the line, powered the machine up and it worked normally. Note: Jura Capresso and Capresso machines are complicated and it takes some mechanical know how to open them up and service them. They also have four special screws on the back that requires a special tool to open
