I would certainly test for spark before just assuming the coil is bad. It is much more likely that the carb is dirty than the coil has gone bad.

How do i check spark on my echo leaf blower

You can take a spark plug tester and plug one end into the spark plug wire and the place the other end on the spark plug and pull the starter rope and see if there is a spark present. Hope this helps.

Pull cord won't engage

remove the sparkplug and try to turn the flywheel if it turns freely then the engine is most likely ok. if it does not turn you have a locked engine that means its toast. If it does turn then you have to look closely at th pull recoil that it is engaging the flywheel.

Troy bilt sequall 2100 will not start. has new plug

Is the gas making it TO the new plug? Pull it over a dozen or so times on full choke and then pull the uh to see if its wet meaning the engine is getting fuel. Also make sure the safeties and off switches aren't preventing it from starting

Starts dies

Fuel lines could be collapsing from being soft, mush from ethanol in gas, possibly you have wrong carb kit, or something put together wrong, fuel lines reversed, double check everything then make sure you exhaust screen is not plugged, cause this will do same thing.

Have an Echo PB-2100 blower. While using it yesterday, I turned it off put it down and it cooled off. Went to use it again and I could NOT pull the starter cord out. Took that part off and it works just...

pull your spark plug out and see if it rolls over and if the cylinder is full of gas,if it is full of gas pull it over till you don't see anymore gas coming out plug hole then put spark plug back in and try to start by holding wide open with choke off, if it starts, then you have a bad vent assy in tank, and or dirty carb to where needle is not seating,or bad diaphram which is stiff holding needle valve open in carb which will fill cylinder and crankcase with gas thus causing hydro lock. If this does'nt get it then check your flywheel for being loose. good luck

Engine starts finem, but will not reach fill RPM.

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen is free of debris.(Should be able to see daylight through it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.
