Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.

Code for my kenwood

It don't work like that. Each individual head unit has a seperate PIN code. Best bet is to get the serial number from your unit. Located on top or back of it, and call Kenwood direct with the serial the serial number, they have all codes on file, they can help. Here are the numbers

Kenwood Australia - 1800 126 659
USA - 1-800-KENWOOD (536-9663

If not either of them, go to their site

I turned down the volume on my kdc-mp522, when i went to turn it back up, it was off (I did not stop or turn car off.). I cannot get it to power on, i can insert and remove disc, so there must be power,...

that is kind of strange and if your getting power to put a cd in but no for it to fully power the unit you may need to check another fuse it will be not be your radio fuse but instead a mini fuse in your vehicles cabin should be on the left side under neith the dash or on the side of the dash it will most likely be a 10 or 15 amp mini fuse that supplies power from the fuse box to the reiceivers acc source ignitions source
