My printer prints black ink just fine when I print a nozzle check but will not print black when I print a test page. It also doesn't print black with a normal document either. I printed a full color page with black text on it and where the black text was supposed to be it came out white.

I just posted and also fixed my problem. Try "deep cleaning" under the maintenance tab. Choose the black cartridge only. Mine only took once to fix but i'd try it 1-3 times before giving up on this solution. It now prints the test page with black and color

I have now found the solution elsewhere in the internet: black text only prints on the Canon i560 if selct "normal paper", but not,for instance, if you have "professional photo-paper" selected.

When you go to save it or just before that you select file then go to print properties under that there should be a selection to print it in black and white.
Let us know ether way but its done under printer properties.
