I had a similar issue with another make and model. The mounting boss had broken on one end of the handle. After I took the inside trim of the door off I found that the handle had a second hole that I could screw into. I did buy a replacement that I didn't use and it might fit yours. If you could attach a picture of your old handle and the exact dimensions, the one I have might work.

First determine if you can get a replacement handle will you be able to remove the broken handle on your own and install the replacement or will you need the assitance of an experienced repair person.
