Hi,first run virus check and then try to restore your computer to an earlier date using system restore and if that does not work, the best option is to backup your data and format your harddisk and reinstall the operating system

Hi, if you dont find a virus fault and need to re-install your O/S [I am assuming its XP] to save all your settings and data accept the repair option at the 2nd prompt. this is critical or setup will format your hard drive and you will loose everything. Regards mistyman

You may have to reinstall the operating system......the files may be corrupted or a bad virus is inside.....ttry your antivirus scan and see what results it brings about

After you delete something like this, it is gone forever. You can make a new partition but it will not contain any of the files that it once had on it.

Packard-Bell.DriverUtilities.com go to device manager and uninstall the current driver. prompt will then come up stating new hardware found and will ask you to chose a location to install from. go to P-Bell site and upload driver once in the download file you can open the driver file. I also suggest you go to Microsoft Security Essentials and run a quick scan of your computer( this will update virus definitions and remedy many latent computer issues.

You need to UNINSTALL the drivers and not delete them if you had done so on the PC. If this wont help it is possible that the OS must be reinstalled after formatting of the drive and thereby the drivers can be installed.

Hi My son decided to completely clear his Packard bell M1610 and i don't hav the recovery discs.Is ther anything i can do?(Apart from throttle my son)
When you mean he decided to clear his computer out. You probably mean he either deleted files,folders and programmes off his computer.

You have 2 options

1. Contact the computer shop you bought the PC from or the manufacturer Pacard Bell giving them the machine number in both cases and explain to them that you do not have the Recovery CD and can they post one out to me

or

2. Purchase a copy of an Operating System (either Windows Vista or Windows XP) and a copy of Office 2003 (XP) 2007 (Vista) and install a fresh copy on your machine.

Then the problem must be a software related one. Something your adding to the system (knowingly or unknowingly) is causing this.

Install your recovery disks and immediately put on Avira Antivirus software.

Then update it from the web. ensure it checks all files on open and close. The point is i think you maybe installing something with a virus in it. better to check your system thoughout.

Avira is the best free one there is. Nothing compares.
