you need not update firmware for this model. Pl. do the printer status monitor(SMART PANEL). Down load from samsung site and run inpc application. when print command given it will display the problem.

You need to use a ohm meter (you can get one cheap) and find out if the power switch is working. You can also determine with it if the power is getting into the turntable. If the switch is working and power is getting to it, then either the transformer has failed or something is wrong in the power supply section.

Install the firmware update that comes with the player. The solution is as simple as that. I had the same problem - the player was switchin off on its own. I installed the firmware update and it works like a charm. :)
