Sometimes the drawer gets blocked with congealed fabric conditioner and or old soap powder, try removing the drawer and giving it a good wash. An old toothbrush is useful to get in the small areas. To remove the drawer: Pull the drawer out as far as possible, there is a small depression on the left hand side at the top of the drawer, about the size of a fingertip press the depression to release the drawer, and pull the drawer out. To relocate, line the drawer up, and place the long thin piece of plastic on the left hand side in the corresponding slot in the top of the drawer opening, you might have to kneel down to see it and slide the drawer in, you might have to press the depression again to pushe it home.

My Zanissi ZWF1437W has just started with the same fault! It is working fine but will not empty out the fabric conditioner and the drawer does not seem to fill on the final rinse to flush it out. I regularly remove the drawer to clean it and hace scrubbed as much as I can in the drawer with a brush.
I also cannot see how the drawer actually should empty!
