The TV, a Prima Cineplus 50" Plasma PH-50R18C, works okay but will lose picture and sound at random periods of time, anywhere from a few minutes to 6-8 hours of operation. Then, if you shut it off with the remote and let it sit for 20 - 30 minutes it may come back on and again last for the random time periods. Now it will not turn on at all.
The ambient temperature might be high. Check whether the foolinf fans are working or not. If not, check out the reason for it. The TV must be placed at least 6cm away from wall, and should have sufficant ventilaation.

This is almost certainly the device that sends electricity to the the plasma in the panel after failing. Bring to your local repair shop and expect to pay 300-400 parts and 100-200 labour.

disconnect the hdmi cable from both ends it resets the sound signal!!!
SOURCE: TV turns off by itself & won't turn back on til unplugged, then plugged back in
panasonic 50" th50 turned off and wiil not turn on again.
