You don't say which model Digimax you have. Hopefully this will cover most models.
First, make sure the menu is not being displayed on the LCD monitor, otherwise you'll just move around in the menu screen. You must also be in photo record mode, ready to take a picture (not in playback or movie mode).
There is a button (usually on the left side of the direction pad) that looks like a lightning bolt. I can't remember the exact number of times you must press it, but the display should indicate that the flash is turned off as one of the options as you cycle through them.
Depending on your model, the modes are likely to be Auto Flash (bolt with an "A" icon), Auto with Red-eye reduction ("eye" icon), fill flash - always on ("bolt" icon), Slow sync (bolt with an "S" icon), and flash off (bold with a line through it icon).
Also depending on your model, you may not be able to turn the flash off depending on which recording mode you're in. For instance, you can't turn the flash off if you're in the "Backlight" recording mode.
The problem is the ribbon cable connecting the circuit board to the LCD display. It is not very hard to replace but I have no idead from where to buy it.The missing red color is just the beggining, now my LCD sometimes turn to white and I can't see anything on it.
first try a cleaning tape and this will not solve the problem have a service dealer check the unit.ru the cleaning tape once and try to playback a good old recording, if it does not work try to run the tape twice before testing .
do not run the tape too many times as you may damage the video heads.one cleaning session should not be longer than 10-15 seconds. most of the new cams are stopping the cleaning tape playback after 10-15 secs.
i dont know how to explain the picture
