I have PTH093B35AM amana PTAC. Heat is not coming on. Keeps blowing air.

Heat wont come on. Keeps blowing regular air.

SOURCE: looking for manuel reset on heater amana ptac

I have a Amana PTAC Model PTH153A50AC with the DigiSmart upgrade kit (DSUK01B) which as of last night stoped generating heat. I tried the Diagnostic and got a "LF" displayed. But I find no reference to what LF means. HELP please. Also I looked but can't find a reset button either.

Try setting the fan control to "AUTO" this will cause it to cut out with the compressor.

Amana Wall unit blows cold air before heating
The cold that you describe may be just unconditioned air? If you are certain you can hear the comp operating for a couple of minutes, and then the heat starts, I would guess it is a reversing valve issue if it's a heat pump and it probably is. Or the control board acting up. I've had a lot of issues with the boards in the Amanda PTAC units. I can't remember how to configure it, but if you Google "Amanda ptac configuration", there is a lot of info online. May try a reset method first. Hope this helps!

I have an Amana packed unit...blows cold air when on heat but if i turn temp to 90 then heat will come out but not at 72 or that range.
you probably have a packaged unit with a line voltage thermostat which is out of calibration...not an unusual situation. other than replace the stat, why not just use it by just setting where you need to - to get the results you desire? use a regular thermometer placed where you want to control to help you adjust properly.

Ptac fan keeps blowing
Reset the unit to factory setting by take the master switch off of 10 sec.
Then press and hold the cool and heat button down while turning the master switch back on.
