Want to transfer files from phone & PC. Initially the PC downloaded and installed drivers, but now what? I see the phone (motorola w755) is listed in device manager, but I don't know how to open up a program to transfer files. I have turned PC and Phone off and back on. I turned phone's 'stand alone' switch ON. And still nothing. Can you help?
You don't need any program to help you transfer files between your PC and your phone.
**Simply open up My Computer on your PC
**Scroll down the window opened before you (you should see your drives
C:/
Cd-rom
...and your Motorola as a storage drive
Click to open it and you will get presented with lots of folders inside your phone.
Navigate your way to transfer files between your PC and your phone.(either way)

You need a piece of software called Motorola Phone Tools. Unfortunately you have to pay for it but a search on Google can probably find it for around $US5 as a download. The software will allow you to transfer pictures, video and audio files, in either direction as well as contact and calendar details. It is apparently interchangeable with Outlook but will not work properly with Mozilla. It also only works with unlocked phones

motorola phone tools is not required. You can use the device plug and play just like any removeable drive. if you connect the phone via usb or bluetooth you shoudl be able to go to my computer and access the new removeable drive to drag and drop files between the phone and computer.
Motorola phone tools is synchronizatiuon software. It allows you to synch up your outlook calander and address book with the phone as well as stransfer files and create ringtones. costs about $30.00 though
