Chances are the lamp was reinstalled and didn't get put in the right position. There could also be a problem with the concentrator/heat shield lens or light pipe (if it has one). Sounds like either someone replaced the lamp and didn't get it back together or the unit has been dropped.

SOURCE: LCD projector not displaying image of the laptop

On that Dell, you have to tell the laptop to display the image on an external unit--look on either F4 or F8--you will find a small TV screen symbol. You have to press and hold "alt" and press the key. The options are, 1-show image on just the laptop, 2-show the image on the laptop *and* something else, (like a projector), or 3-show an image on JUST an external display. NOTE: Sometimes, you have to turn on the projector FIRST, then immediately turn on the laptop so they boot together--just one of those strange things...(remember, **for example** first press of "alt" F4 will get you laptop and projector, second press of "alt F4 will get you JUST the projector, third press of the keys will bring you back to just the laptop)---Rick

SOURCE: I have a Panasonic pt-ae900u

I have the exact same issue with my projector and was wondering if anybody has an idea what the problem/solution could be? Have checked all internal connections, wiring, etc. but nothing is physically wrong with it. Powers on and off with no issues; bulb is working but no light out of the lens. Please help!

My YAMAHA LPX-500 projectors start up logo remains faintly visible constantly during operation-any answers?

Hello sounds like you have the logo screen burned into one of your LCD panels. This will be a very expensive repair, seen as the LPX-500 is only an 800 lumen projector, it would be a good time to look for a replacement. I would not recommend spending any money on this unit.
Hope this helps

Yamaha LPX 510

Welcome to the disapointing world of LCD projection. Your blue device is dying and thus allowing the green to come through instead of combining for white. I suggest buying a dlp product they are immune to this color decay problem. Good luck

Yamaha LPX 500 home cinema projector isn't lighting up

The reason for a red light is replacement of lamp or it is running too hot. Have you checked for proper venting, and cleaned them recently. The bulb usually lasts 2000 hours, so you may need another.

Does not display the color blue?

Hi,

lamp replacement will not solve your problem. The problem is with the main board or RGB Panels.

Yamaha LPX 510

I just saw your post & today is Mar 19,2008. I had the same problem and was pissed until I noticed YAMAHA has a good warranty, so I sent it back and they put in NEW OPTICS that are non-organic (I guess the original ones were organic) NOW my picture is much better than when it was new. This picture is so clear I can not believe it.
