I cannot print anything. I keep getting a message that "the type of print head is incorrect and to install the correct print head".
I have turned off the printer several times. I have unplugged the printer twice and waited a few minutes and turned it back on. I still get the above message. I cannot print from my computer nor can I make copies directly from the printer. HELP!!

sounds like the print head contacts are getting loose or are dirty, try cleaning the contact pads, re-seat the unit and try again, to do this gently rub the contacts with a white eraser works good for this job.
if this helps you, please provide some thumbs up.
cheers.
yes . put exactly the cartridge that is compatible with your printer , make sure that you are replacing with the one that has the same number on it as that of the previous cartridge
Hi,
It means the print head temperature is too high. The only was to resolve this error is either replace the print head or replace the logic board. The print head is available, part number QY6-0061 but you will struggle to find a logic board. The only other thing you can try is resetting the EEPROM on the logic board, this sometimes clears the error. A service manual will show you how to do this: http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/4546483-canon-pixma-mp830-printer-service-manual
Have you changed the print head?
