I DONT KNOW HOW TO REFRESH MY SANSA MP3

I DONT KNOW HOW TO REFRESH IT I TRY TO DO THE SAME THING IT SAYS IN THE SYSTEM BUT IT DONT WORK....AND I CANT EVEN HEAR SONGS AND SOPOESLY I DONT HAVE NO SONGS SO HOW CAN I REFRESH MY SANSA

    My Sansa View Mp3 Player keeps Freezing and then turns off. What do I do?

Hold down the on button on the bottom left hand side, keep holding it till the sansa turns itself off.  After its turned off switch it back on, ive had the same message up many times

What does "Refreshing Database" mean?

You will need to upgrade or reinstall the firmware on your MP3 player. You may download the firmware on http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376. For the manual installation of the firmware upgrade, you may go to this site: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1449

Have you removed the battery, wait then reinstall it to try to reset it? Been the Sansa website and their FAQ or tech support?

Sansa e270 refresh database

Go under settings and change USB Mode to other choice. Then format. After formatting change back to original setting. I had same prob. Tech support told me to do this and it worked. Have had no problem since.
