I heard a loud pop then tv screen went black, now when you turn it on the green light goes to red then nothing, does anyone know how to take the tv apart or where i can find a manual its a sony 52 inch. ty for any help

Is is standby light blinking red or any other light? Let me know how many times red standby light blinking after three seconds long pause to provide you helpful info.
It seems pop sound was due to broken lamp, please check lamp inside tv and if it is broken, replace it to solve tv problem.

Ur tv power supply board is dead.Replaced the power supply board,ur tv power will return,and the tv will work again.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

When my lamp died the bulb literally exploded. That may be what you heard. Have you check the lamp? If the lamp is ok, the lamp's ballast or power supply might have blown.

Does anything come on the screen? Input display box? 
If no:
Sounds like it could be a blow capacitor. Cheap part, but need someone with a little electronic know how repair to fix it.
