Hi,

The most common cause of Panasonic Rear Projection LCD TVs not starting is bulb failure. The PT-60LC13 users manual gives some help in translating the LEDs on the front of the TV.

If the TV worked normally for a period of time (months or years) and won't start, the most likely cause is bulb failure. There is no way to measure the bulb, sometimes the bulb is visibly damaged when it fails. Remove the Lamp Assembly and look at the bulb.

If there was an On-Screen Lamp Replace warning and TV won't start, bulb has failed.

The first step with all Panasonic Rear Projection TV "No Picture" problems is bulb replacement. If that does not remedy the problem, get a technician, there are no user serviceable parts. Guessing if the ballast, power supply, controller board or optical engine is faulty is not practical.

The Panasonic Lamp Gallery shows all Panasonic models and Lamp Numbers. There is also a link to Panasonic DIY bulb and lamp replacement.

Panasonic cinema vision pt-53wx54j does not turn on. red power led blinks 3 times.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. 3 blinks means convergence output failure and to resolve this you’ll need to change the convergence chips which are located behind the black heat sink; you can see once you open the back off the TV. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Panasonic projection TV does not turn on.

Power LED flashes orange 1 x 5 secs. = 1 of 3 fans stopped. TEMP LED flashes 1 x 5 secs, = Temperature error. Lamp LED flashes 1 x 5 secs. = lamp ballast error. (check lamp 1st.)
Hope this helps.

My Panasonic PT-60Dl54J tv shut itself off and the power button is now flashing red 6 times. What has happened, how do I fix it?

This is straight from the service manual (I'm not sure what the problem is but it sounds serious):

8.2. Power LED Flashing timing table
When an abnormality has occurred, the protection circuit operate and cuts the power supply. At this time, the defective line can be
identified by the number of flashes (red) of the power led indication at the front of the unit.
NUMBER OF FLASHES CIRCUIT MICRO PIN
1 LOAD SHORTAGE 92
2 OVER VOLAGE 93
3 FAN SOS 94
4 MAIN 3.3V 88
5 LAMP DISABLE 61
6 GC3FM-IIC IIC
7 GC3FS-IIC IIC
8 GC3I-IIC IIC
9 COLOR WHEEL STOP 110

I have a Panasonic PT-50DL54J DLP projection TV. It suffers from a shut down problem. Shortly after powering up, the TV shuts off, and the front LED flashes red 6 times. At this point, the TV will not...

I have similar problems. I removed the back panel and use compressed air to blow out all the dust from all the components. Just remember not to blow into the main fan on the right as that is the one cooling the lamp. I don't know for sure if this is the only problem.
Dust built up caused heat built up on the components.

Panasonic PT-43LC14

The TV shutdown error code can help you with this problem. If the power led flashes green for 2 Min's then red. The Lamp led should flash red 1-2-3 or 4 time every 5 Min's. These are error codes that may point you in the right direction to you problem.
