Carrier Infinity System Thermostat...The actual temp remains a constant 79 degrees. This seems to have occured after a recent power loss. AC and heat are functioning properly, but must be turned on and off by system on/off button

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

    Hi tomdee,

If the A/C is functioning properly, why is the temperature a constant 79 degrees? Is this where you want it and are manually keeping it there?

Are you saying the thermostat no longer control the system?

Call your local company and check the warranty status on the Infinity UI it should still be under warranty and get a replacement otherwise it could run you a couple hundred dollars

Maytag m6x06f2a like new but doest blow cold air

Make sure the Thermostat is set correctly! The problem with mine was the temp in the house was colder than my A/C lowest thermostat setting.I had my AC temp setting on 66 degrees. The temp in the house was a little lower so the AC didnt kick on just the fan blowing cool air and no compressor working. The next day it was warmer out and the house temp was 79. So when I powered up the AC set at 66 i heard the compressor kick in and the AC worked fine.

Zone control not working

These are both power open and closed. Yellow and green should be constant on the leds. C&D is your 24 volts for the controls. If you got power going in but nothing coming out of the board it is bad. If you got 24 going to the damper but damper not responding obviously it's bad. Usually communication is DC voltage, likely 12 or 13 DC at A&B. Good Luck!!

Chronotherm Three thermostat vs Buderus Logamatic Computer.

The outdoor thermostat senses the the temp of the outside air, and adjust the boiler water temp according to what it knows is best. The reason that the boiler is running longer is the old boiler used to be constantly sending 180ish degree water to the baseboard, now that water may only be 140ish degrees. The idea behind this is to reduce off cycle heat loss, as the greater the temp difference between the air temp and water temp, the quicker you loss heat. The theory in boiler run time is this, the less times it starts and stops, and the long run times will give you the best efficiency. Hope this answers you questions.
