Connect the router and computer to create a secure connection between the two pieces of equipment.
To do this, plug an Ethernet cable into one of the LAN (Local Area Network) ports located on the back of the Belkin router.
Connect the other end of the cable into the Ethernet port located on the back of the computer (the side of the computer, if you are using a laptop).
Access the GUI (graphic user interface) to gain access to the router settings.
To do so, open a web browser and enter 192.168.2.1 into the address bar of the browser.
Press "Enter" or "Return" on the keyboard.

Click on the "Login" hyperlink located at the top of the page. Enter "Admin" into the username and leave the password blank.
Click "Submit" to load the GUI.
Click on the "Security" hyperlink located under "Wireless."
Select "64Bit WEP" or "128Bit WEP" from the drop-down menu and enter in any 10-digit hexadecimal password into the "Key1" box.
Hexadecimal is a password with both letters and numbers in it.

Select "Apply Settings" to update the router's security password.
Use this password to connect your computer and on other equipment to the router.

Wireless incorrect Password

Make sure the password and connection name are the same as the ones in your wireless router.
Be aware you need to put the correct password in for every wireless connection you want to use at least once. The device will remember the password for the next time it needs to login.

Put in http"//192.168.21 what to do next

If you have never changed the default password, you can find it printed on the label on the bottom of the router.
If you have changed the password before, you will need to reset the router back to factory defaults. There is probably a small button on the back of the router labelled "reset" that you will need to hold down for 10 seconds and release. To push this button, you will likely need the tip of a pen or the end of a paperclip bent into a straight line.
If you still need more assistance, please post the specific model so we can find a user manual for it online. If this solved your problem, please don't forget to rate this

I'm in the Wirless security part of the process in placing a password in the router. What should i do next? I clicked WEP already but there are 4 encyrption keys. i dont know what to put and where to put a...

Rather than using WEP which is not completely secure try using WPA-PSK. When selecting WPA, there will be only one password box to open. From there you can enter the password you want to use and save the configuration. If you want to use WEP, when the page with 4 encryption keys opens up, go to the box for the first key and enter the password there. If needed select the shared key option and save the configuration.

I need to reset my wifi network password but don't know how

The router's password can be changed by running the routers setup cd. If you do not have the cd:

1.Open your browser

2.In the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 this will bring you to your router configuration.

3.put in your username/password "If you forgot your username and password you can always reset your router, if that is the case your router will go to back to default settings,In order to reset the router look in the back of the router and you will see a reset button, press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, the reset button is located next to the Internet port on the router.

4. When your linksys router configuration is up, go to Administration.

5. change password that's it!! hope this helped. Good Luck

Router

2wire routers are usually owned by your ISP, you may try calling them. Otherwise you can do a reset on the router putting it back to factory settings. On the back usually next to the power plug their is a small button that can be pressed in by a pen/pencil/paperclip.

I would strongly recommend calling your Internet Provider first to make sure so you don't wipe out any settings.
