My 42" jvc flat screen model #LT-42Z49 will not connect to my cable box. Thinking the input connection is not working properly?

This set has a factory upgrade for HDMI problems like yours and it also fixes another problem for intermitent sound in the HDMI mode. This model is still under warranty. Call: 1-800-SAMSUNG To find a local servicer in your area.

SOURCE: got given a Samsung SP42Q2HL

The protocol for scart sockets is, Black in colour = all pins connected and both in and out are supported. Blue in colour = only video in and audio in connected.
If you wish to use RGD, if the tv supports it, use the black socket. Some support S Video input.
Component inputs are not supported with scart as a general rule.

It should be as simple as taking an HDMI cable (if your computer has an HDMI output) or VGA (monitor) cable and hooking it into the TV. From there, go to Control Panel and Display Settings, and click which option you want for the TV screen under "Connect my PC to a projector."

WHITE - LEFT AUDIO CHANNEL

Hook them up to tv's INPUT of the same colors

Then turn tv to input or av channel.

Cant hook up HDMi cabe from PS3 to JVC

1. check the input that the PS3 is connected to
2. select that input on the TV
3. Press and hold the [power] button on the PS3
4. perform the video setup for the PS3

My guess is that you don't have the HDMI setting correct on the PS3.

JVC LCD TV (LT-42X688) input panel not working!

1. This TV has setting for the HDMI input that allows you to select the HDMI Audio or Analog(red/white wire) audio. Make sure this is correct

2. Most cable boxes are DVI not HDMI. If DVI then you actually do need to use those Red/white cables. If HDMI, refer back to #1.

3. The cable box has a setting to select the Audio output, HDMI (digital) or Analog(red/white cables). Just like #1, this has to be set.

4. Contact your cable company to help you set up the box correctly. JVC can probably help you check the TV

Mine did the same thing once. I think all I did was hit the setup on the remote, and let it run back through all the channels and then it worked just fine.
