Problems with Ice Maker/Water Dispenser If you are not getting ice, make sure the water valve is open and the ice shutoff switch or arm is not in the "Off"
position. Inspect the ice ejector arm for blockage and remove any trapped ice with a plastic spoon. If you recently
emptied the ice container, remember that it takes your refrigerator up to 24 hours to produce ice.
Low water pressure is the major cause of problems with the water/ice door dispenser. Low water pressure can cause
inadequate water flow and small or hollow ice cubes. Check the water line for kinks that may interfere with water
flow and make sure the water valve is open. A dirty water filter can color the water and ice cubes, impede water
flow or cause water to have an off taste so remove, clean and replace it.
If water is leaking from the door dispenser, make sure the water glass remains under the spout until the water
shuts off completely. If you recently changed the water filter, air that was left in the line may cause water to
spurt from the dispenser. To flush the water line, let water run from the dispenser for approximately three minutes
or until you draw out 1.5 gallons of water. Try to find a container that will fit under the dispenser spout so you
do not have to start and stop to empty the container.
Check the coils under the refrig , to make sure they are clean . If not clean , then please clean , and wait about a day . If still no ice , replace the ice maker . An ice maker will not harvest ( dump ) , unless it is 5 degrees . Dirty coils will make a freezer temp anywhere from 10 - 18 degrees , yet food will still be frozen , but ice maker will not work .
I would suggest making sure the coils under the refrig are clean of dust , lint , pet hair , etc . Also , letting the ice build up so it gets closer to the bottom of the ice maker (coldness of the ice will help keep the ice maker cold ) will result in ice maker cycling more often (making ice) .
???? no ice dispencing?? no llight whenthe paddle is dpressessed?? if this is the case, i would look to the wireharness under the freezer door, there should be quick disconnect just under the refrigerator. after disconnecting check for broken wiring right under the hinge
the dispenser front "pops" off by inserting a screwdriver under he dispenser front, look closelyyoull see 2 little slits where ot insert and twist from. as your inserting and twisting would be helpful to be pushing down on the top of the facade.(just plastic tabs holding on care full not to break. its pretty apparent after that. when re-installing Hang over the top and kinda give it a good smack down with the heel of your hand... but honestly before all that look at the wires under the door hinge make sure there are no cut wires. ( a natural pinchpoint created by the hinge mechanism)
sounds like the water coming into the icemaker is spilling over or leaking into the ice despenser bucket.... check for ice build up or plugging of water chut into ice maker
