Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-24FS120 24" TV
Hi, previously I could turn the TV on by first turning the power on the digital box (using one remote controller)...then I pressed '2' on my Sony RM-836 remote control, and the TV screen would show a symbol of a small rectangular box with curved corners with an arrow going into the rectangle on the left of it. This symbol was to the left of the number 2 on the TV screen. Then a minute or so later, the picture would show on the screen, and the symbol & number 2 would disappear. There's a similar rectangular shape with a left arrow symbol on the remote control underneath the power button...I think my housemate must have pressed it somehow...because now, when you turn on the TV, it shows the symbol next to '1' instead of '2'. You can only hear sound now, no picture. Please does anyone know how I can change it back so it comes onto the symbol with the '2' again as before? I think that will make the picture come back again, as it will be coming on on a different channel than present. thanks :)
Hit menu button on your remote, navigate to channel setup menu. on the sub-menu, set channel fix to your channel that you require. now when your tv powers up this will be the default channel. if this doesn't fix your issue then try cycling through video inputs tv/video button on your remote.

Hi, IK circuit is engaging which basically means the picture tube is getting tired, the only "fix" is temporary (may get another year out of it). You have to increase the "screen control clockwise".
Remove back of set, follow large black or red wire attatched to picture tube down to the flyback transformer, mounted on flyback are two black controls, one is focus (leave it alone) the other is "screen", adjust it clockwise approx. 1/4 inch, remember that this is a high voltage circuit so use one hand in the set the other hand out of the set at all times, any questions ? e-mail me back, good luck, BMW Rider

Try to see if you have 5volts for your EEPROM. If the voltage is normal try to replace your EEPROM or try to reprogram it. Your EEPROM is corrupted so that's why it will not store data.
