When I hit the power button and then the start button, the dryer beeps like the sensor is working and it says sensing, but will not start. What could be the problem?

Suggest you check the dryer belt.

The dryer control knows the motor is turning, hence "beep" acknowledges command to start(with no faults) and the sensing moister state. What it doesn't know is the drum belt has broken or otherwise and is no longer turning the drum.

Dryer won't start. Lights on panel come on and everything seems ok until you hold the start button. You then hear a click and the sensing light comes on but the dryer does not start.

Dryer wont start - no lights

Dryer door does not think it is closed. There is a sensor on the top of the door that is probably not making contact with the door. Trying pushing the top part of the door and holding it then press the start button.. if the unit starts running then you know what it is. I just had one of these dryers delivered today and had to find out about this by myself tonight!!

Dryer wont turn on

Ours was doing the same thing you would hear a click and nothing but the sensing light. I found the thermal fuse to be blown Part #3392519. Easy to get to through the front cover under the load door. I went ahead and vacuumed and cleaned out the inside and vent tube.

Dryer wont start

Commonproblems...blown house fuse, broken belt ( on some models )...door switch...*thermal fuse open (venting needs attention )...broken or burnt wire....timer....motor, in order from mostcommon to least common. * If you find a blown thermal fuse, always clean, change, adjust the ventingsystem and vent hood first, then it is often a good idea to replace the operatingthermostat at the same time. This is a picture of some modernthermal fuses.
