Your 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII has 2 universal joints. They are located on the drive shaft, which connects the transmission to the rear differential. The general location is the bottom center of the car, below the hump in the floor that runs between the seats!

1993 Lincoln Mark VIII Batt dead after 3 days

May be your alternator not charging. Once you get it started again - remove a battery cable - if it dies it is not putting out enough voltage to keep vehicle running.

RPM On Lincoln Mark VIII 1993 Idling up to 1500 -2000 RPM

Mine did same thing. I have a 95 Mark VIII LSC and took it to dealer after troubleshooting for two days. Turned out to be Throttle Position Sensor. With Diagnostic fee it cost about $350 including labor. Hope this helps- Mike

buy a set of factory manuals used. There is not just one picture.
the fuse box in the driving area is in the owners manual. The engine compartment diagram is in a book called Mark VIII Electrical Vacuum and Troubleshooting Manual.
