I have a White 1999 "jeans machine" sewing machine. It suddenly froze up while sewing. I dismantled what I could and cleaned everything I could see. Appears it is somehow "bound up" between the handwheel and the needle as it moves slightly, but I cannot see a thing binding it. Any suggestions? I am sewing costumes for a competition and can't be without this machine!!! Thanks for any help.

How long has it been since the machine was lubricated? If it has been a while, take all the covers off and oil ( with a good sewing machine oil) not 3 in 1. Pay special attention at the ends of each shaft, most particularly, the top shaft. If this doesn't work, the machine will need professional help.

What is a never used white jeans machine model 1077 worth?

Umm, an unused old sewing machine sounds like it should be worth a lot, however, in retrospect, machines need to be used and maintained regularly. Most likely the machine needs a thorough service as the oil has probably dried out over time and has/will seize the machine.

Why does my machine keep jamming?

Is this a mechanical machine you're running on low speed? The usual motor doesn't have much torque at low speed (unlike the computerized machines with stepper or servo motors that have full needle force at any speed), and this can contribute to jamming.

Also check to make sure the bobbin case is in completely and not wobbly.

Can't find my manual for white 1999 jean machine need to oil it & don't know where to do this??

I was able to find a manual for your machine at

http://ifixmachines.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&product_id=2482&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=54
they are charging 7.88 for the manual but it looks like it is a pdf file so you'd be able to get it right away.

Best of luck.

Barring getting the manual, the rule of thumb for oiling a machine is any place that you can see it move as you turn the handwheel slowly.

I suggest using a stainless machine oil.
