Presario f700 no sound

go to hp support then download windows7 drivers ok jim

there might be 2 problems that come first in mind
1: due to long time pc explotation bios battery died
2: bios reseted and all divices become masters
firs test battery voltage ir its good try to change bios boot up log

reinstall audio driver for your system windows

update to service pack 3, then go to update driver in device manager and allow it to search the internet it will find the HD audio codecs from microsoft and install them.

Sounds like the power converter. The power input and the battery are single voltage. The computer requires multiple voltages which are generated by a power converter. If you have installed this motherboard, ensure the connections to the power converter are correct.

If you’ve installed Windows XP on Compaq Presario F700 or Presario F730 follow this simple step:


a. Install Microsoft UAA

b. then install Conenxant Audio Sound Driver

try running the sound software

Go to control panel, and check sound settings.

In windows mic is disabled by default, you need to enable it.

it will not untill you install Microsoft UAA high definition driver, you can download it here http://rapidshare.com/files/124178667/kb888111.exe

and then install sound and modem driver and if it still don't work then make sure you are not installing XP with service pack3 included.
