My research shows that a consumer gets a 5 year warranty and a commercial user gets a 2 year warranty on any Echo equipment they buy. Could you consider getting some warranty service on this unit since it is still under coverage? It sounds like a fuel delivery problem (carburetor adjustment maybe), but I also realize that some of the newer "rotary" type carburetors in use don't have the Low and High speed mixture adjusting screws like the old-style diaphragm carburetors that preceded them.

SOURCE: I have a new echo

sounds like a dirty carb, dissamble it and rinse good with carb clean, be careful when taking the top off it that you get it back together the same spray the white center good and all little holes good. then reassemble, also try to loosen your gas cap maybe first before cleaning carb, you might have a plugged vent in the line coming out of the tank. Good Luck

I don't think the oil-gas ratio will cause that problem. Did you check to see if the fuel lines or fuel filter is clogged?

Wouls not run at high speed, kept bogging down. Bought the carb adjusting tool and set the high speed jet and ran as it was suppose to for a few days and started the same thing. Contacted Echo had they are having a lot of problems with the carb on these machines, they sent out an updated carb and it runs fine for now.

I would say that Daren is on the best track here for repair. Myself i agree with the fact that your carb has some sort of blockage. Start with a good carb cleaning. Good Luck....

How do I clean a float needle seat on Echo blower?

pull carb off, dissemble it and replace needle and diaphram (carb kit) and clean it thourghly and then also make sure your tank vent is working properly cause if not it will drain your fuel tank also and fill your crankcase and cylinder with fuel !

Blower starts and runs for 5 seconds and cuts off. Is it an oil to gas ratio. Is is 32:1 or 40:1? For the Echo PB250 gas blower.

I don't think the oil-gas ratio will cause that problem. Did you check to see if the fuel lines or fuel filter is clogged?

Will start and idle only....when giving gas, motor dies...unit is new Echo PB-250 blower and the problem just started...only used 4 times...

There is probably dirt blocking the main fuel supply to the engine. You need to strip and clean the carb, preferably fitting a new carb kit at the same time. Clean out all the passages and orifices by blowing them out, but be careful of loosing small parts like filter screens and screws.

Echo leaf blower..cranks fine, idles fine, will not throttle up.

Sounds like restricted exaust. Remove the muffler and start it, see if that fixes it. If yes clean remaining carbon from exaust port. And clean spark arestor screen.
