Toshiba Satellite L655D s5050 when turn on power comes up charging light comes up disc drive works but nothing on screen and the vga port didnt work as well

Nothing on internal monitor screen, and nothing on external VGA monitor?

You have a bad graphics chipset. This = replace motherboard.

Before you rush out to buy a motherboard, let's review on how to properly connect a VGA monitor to that Toshiba Satellite L655D-s5050;

1) Laptop OFF, monitor OFF, connect the VGA monitor to the RGB port on the side of the laptop.

2) By DEFAULT, the display should show on the external VGA monitor.

DOES NOT mean it will.

No display on external VGA monitor?
Press, and hold down on the Fn key, tap ONCE on the F5 key.
(O-N-C-E. NOT repeatedly!)

Still no?
Hold the Fn key down again, and tap once more on the F5 key.

Still no?

Hold the Power On button down until the laptop turns off.
Remove the VGA cable, and all external cables/devices.

Close the laptop, turn it over on the table in front of you.
(I recommend a soft, static free cloth on the table, to prevent scratching the table, and laptop)

Remove ALL power. Remove the AC adapter (Charger), and Battery.

Remove the Memory Compartment Cover.
(Middle of laptop on bottom. Rectangular cover with three Philips head screws)

Make SURE your body is free from Static, and remove all ram memory modules. (Slot A, and Slot B, IF, there are two ram memory modules)

Handle the ram memory module by the BODY. The body is everywhere, but the gold plated contact pins on the bottom.
The body is coated with a see-through protective plastic.
Refrain from touching the gold plated contact pins.

Clean EACH gold plated contact pin with a pencil eraser.
BOTH sides.
If using a pencil eraser on the end of a pencil, and not a solid eraser, refrain from letting the metal band contact the gold plated contact pins.

Just rub up, and down on each pin.
When finished use air to remove the eraser dust. You can use a can of compressed air for computers if available, or air pressure from your mouth will be sufficient.

Reinstall just one ram memory module, (If you have two), in Slot A.
Make SURE it is in Slot A. The Processor reads Slot A first. If no ram memory module is in Slot A, the laptop will not work.

Put the Memory Compartment Cover back on.
Reinstall the Battery. Turn the laptop over, and open it back up.
Plug the AC adapter (Charger) in.

WAIT 1 minute, turn the laptop on. Still no?
Turn the laptop off, and attach the external VGA monitor again.
Try it. (Don't forget you may have to use the Display Toggle-Over key)

Still no?
I suggest the graphics chipset is bad. Motherboard replacement.

Display not come on screen.

Hi and welcome to fixya!

First thing you do for this is shut down the machine by just pressing and holding the power button for about 5 seconds.
Then unplugged the charger and take out the battery.
Next is press and hold the power button again for 10 seconds, without the charger and battery this time.
Put the battery back in and the charger and turn on the machine normally. This should solve the issue 95% of the time. If it does not, time to contact the warranty support for Acer.

Hope this helps!

When I plug my charger in there are no bars going up and down on the display showing that it is charging. This is after I accidently plugged in the wrong charger and heard a pop. The phone shut off after...

I would suggest just using the phone until you wear the battery down and then put it back on the charger and charge it up over night and see if it charges. If that works then probably the pop you heard was the part of the display that shows the bars going up blowing out but at least the phone will work for you.

Low battery display

My first guess would be to take a volt meter, and check the power pack to see if it's putting out the correct DC voltage(or any voltage). Those things are super cheap!
Then check the plug in on the scanner to make sure your getting a good connection(might have a broken connection to the circuit board). If those are 2 year old rechargeable batteries, they might be getting close to laying down and dying. Hope this helps,, Mechanic
