Does anyone know what this error means? I'm unable to clear it from the screen and the printer is non-operational. I have searched on Xerox support pages but this error code does not see to be recognised.
The 11,009,46 error in my experience means that, at some point, the printer lost power during an electronic action. in some cases an NVRAM reset will do the trick, but if it doesn't, one of the electric boards has been blown up. XEROX are very protective about which board to replace, so you're quite stuck with their own service in order to have it repaired.
Printer Error 11,009.46 Message
Reset the Printer to the Factory Defaults (NVRAM Reset)
NOTE: Resetting NVRAM returns stored parameters in the image processor board NVRAM to their factory default values. The print count and the Adobe firmware serial number are not affected by this reset. You can reset the PostScript NVRAM using the Service Tools menu or the Service Diagnostics menu.
TIP: take the last part (:1444) off when searching. Try at your own risk
A fault code search on Xerox's website says this is an electronics module interface fault--just doesn't say how to fix it!!
Ink count sensor flags are stuck after melting 2.5 ink sticks. The following codes are recorded: 9,03x.41, where x= 5 for cyan, 6 for magenta, 7 for yellow, and 8 for black. (Your error indicates black ink loader failure)
Features on the bottom of genuine Xerox ink sticks actuate the Ink Out Sensor located at the forward end of each ink channel of the Ink Loader. The sensor indicates the passage of ink to provide a count of ink consumption.
Damaged or non-genuine ink sticks may not reliably actuate the sensors. This can lead to false Ink Out messages as well as Ink Stick count faults. Using 8400 model ink in a 8500/8550/8560 models will also cause 9,03x.4x ink stick count faults.
Ink Loader will need replaced and then diagnostics entered to run "Clear ISC Fault" test to clear the error.
