The main power regulator board should be checked. In most cases, this board might need replacement as card basis. Contact any service technician. I have a Sony KD-34XBR960 and the standby light blinks twice and makes a click noise and a bang sounds off in the back of the TV and then it repeats its self , the TV does not turn on .

  1. Two blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.

We have a grundig 22 inch when we play the dvd their is a loud clicking noise

A warped disc will cause that as will a lump of debris on the turntable as it will make the laser travel to the end of its focus range and bang on its end stop.

Banging noise when motor turns off

Have you replaced your air filter recently? Often this is a symptom of a restricted return. The blower almost causes a vacuum in the duct work, and when the system shuts down the duct "pop" back out, causing this banging noise. Hope this helps

The tv had a bang noise no picture lot of lines on part of the screen

Sounds like a blown capacitor within the power supply or inverter section if it banged then you should be able to visually see the damage. Service tech may need to look at it depending on your confidence to remove covers.

Loud popping noise

The 23" CRT set may have a high voltage breakdown in the flyback transformer or focus divider. Take the back off and operate the set in a dark room. Look for anything that has a blue glow around it or sparks flying when the pop occurs. I won't guarantee this will find your problem, but it is definitive if you see these!

I once had a set with these symptoms. I stopped the blue glow and arcing by covering the focus divider with epoxy. It worked for a couple of months before the divider literally broke apart.

Loud clicking, banging noise

We recently had the same problem. After cleaning both the furnace filter and the humidifier water panel, the clicking noise (electric air filter) and the loud bang went away.
