Try changing your WiFi encription to WEP or no security, this should be available on your cablemodem/router web internface (need a user and password for that) under the Wireless/Security option.

DS Lite is not compatible with any other WiFi encription for online gaming: "Important note about the Nintendo DSi and WPA security: While the Nintendo DSi is compatible with WPA security, Nintendo DS games with online play still require the use of WEP or no security to connect with the Nintendo WFC. Therefore, your connection settings for using these games must be set up on slots 1-3. If you need more details on using your adjusting your router's settings, click here and select your router (if available).

The 8200 by itself does not have networking capability.
This means that you cannot connect it directly to your router and give it an IP address, so others can connect to it.

The good thing is, that this printer is listed on the list for compatibility for upgrade with the wireless network kit (see here). The bad thing is - this kit costs about 70$ (see here).

A solution which does not cost anything, is to share the printer from your computer with the other computers. The downside is that the machine to which the printer is connected has to be running in order to let the others print.

If you decide to buy the Networking Kit - here are the setup instructions.

Sorry - but there is no simple (plug & pray) solution.

This could be a duplex issue. When you log into the belkin does is assign you an IP address? Have you used a ballpoint pen to reset the EMTA since you have connected the router?

SOURCE: error 51330 on nintendo wii siemens gigaset se587 wlan used.

hi

i have just solved this problem on the SE 587, hope it works for you.

1) in internet explorer type 192.168.1.1, which should bring up your router settings - then select "wireless" and then "basic wireless settings" - under "auto channel" set it to "disable" and the set "wireless channel" to "1" , then "save settings" - my pc briefly went offline and quickly came back.

2) when setting up the connection on the wii you need the code from the bottom of the router - make sure you have "caps lock" ON on the wii when you set up.

3) now everything works perfectly on the wii - you dont even need the pc on! just the router.

good luck, IAN.

Are you sure you have posted the right model. The thing is, a SURFBoard Cable Modem does not provide WiFi. You will need a router for that.

How do you get internet on the Nintendo DS Lite Console

I ran into this recently when we got a wireless network at our house. In order to browse the internet on your DS Lite, you need some kind of browser software, which can be purchased.
http://www.nintendodslitebundle.org/how-to-get-internet-on-nintendo-ds-lite

It should be noted that the DS Lite is only able to connect to a wireless network that is encrypted with a WEP password. It cannot connect to a network encrypted with a WPA or WPA2 password. Unfortunately (for the DS Lite), a lot of wireless networks are making WPA the standard, because it is more secure. However, you can change the settings of your wireless network (typically) so that it is encrypted with a WEP password. Just be aware that this makes your network less secure.

I dont know how to set up the nintendo wi-fi connection

  1. At the Setup screen, tap "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings."

  2. Tap "Connection 1 None."

  3. Click on "Search for an Access Point."

  4. The Nintendo DS will search for any wireless networks within range. Once it is finished searching, it will display the names of all the wireless networks it finds.

Once you have done this you may find next to your wi-fi, a lock this is what they mean:

  1. Tap on your network name to select it.

  1. Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes." The Nintendo DS will run a connection test with your wireless router.
  • The connection test was successful - Your Nintendo DS is now connected online and you can enjoy the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection features of the game!
  • The connection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you will receive an error code.
    • Error Code 51300: This means the security code or network name entered into the Nintendo DS is not the same one the router is set to. To reach your connection settings, click "back" on the error code screen. The Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite are not compatible with WPA security. If you would still like to connect your Nintendo DS online, you will need to either change your router's security to WEP, or disable security entirely. Please note that any changes you make will affect other devices that connect wirelessly to your router.

Error Code :51100 Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Setup

Error Code: 51100

The WEP key for the Access Point you are attempting to connect to has changed since you last connected.
What to do:

    • Errors ending in 0 = connection file 1
    • Errors ending in 1 = connection file 2
    • Errors ending in 2 = connection file 3
    • Errors ending in 3 = Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector
  • Verify the Access Point's WEP Key is entered correctly into the Nintendo DS. If your router has slots for more than one WEP key, the first (#1) must be the one selected on your router.

If you have multiple connection files saved to your Nintendo DS, the error message you received can help determine which connection file may be experiencing a problem:

How do you get the wi-fi on the ds

To set up a Wi-Fi connection on your DS Lite you have to use a Wi-Fi enable DS game. Wi-Fi enable DS games have a Wi-Fi symbol on the front of the box it came in. Simply play the game and you should see options to set up a Wi-Fi connection.

My router has a WPA key instead of a WEP key. Can my DS Lite still connect to Wi-Fi internet without using the usb Wi-Fi connector?

Unfortunately no. I had the same problem. My router, thankfully, could be changed to WPA on my computer. If it can't then my best suggestion would be that routers are not terribly expensive.

How to fix error code 051110-1

This code means that it couldn't access the Wi-Fi access point. Make sure you are close enough to your router, and your connection settings match. Also, try using WEP (instead of WPA) if you aren't already.

Wi-fi

I am going to take a guess here - you are trying to connect a DS lite to your wireless network - the DS only support WEP security not WPA. Most wireless routers will default to WPA security. You need to log into your router and change its security to WEP. Details are dependent on the router make and model. If you need details on haw to change the wireless network please let me know.

Connection to wi-fi

hello there,
here are the steps :
  • choose the option "Search for access point".
  • The choices are given.
  • If the access point is in the form of a closed padlock gray, and the message "Security settings incompatible with the Ds" message, it means that your router is configured with security settings that the Nintendo DS does not support (WPA, WPA2, etc..).
  • The only solution is to configure your router to WEP because it is the only security that the console recognizes.
hope this help
