ACER ASPIRE ONE Netbook, black screen recovery

if you have got a black screen and it wont boot up.
use the recovery cd that comes with the netbook ,
put it in any pc that has got a cd or dvd drive,
and run the software , it will give you a choice of making a recovery usb
stick, you will need a usb stick with a minimum 2GB memory,
the program will take about 20 minutes to create the recovery usb stick,
when finished put it into any one of the usb ports on the netbook
and turn it on, again it will take about 20 minutes for the netbook recovery.
wrote this mainly for people that do not have an external cd / dvd drive that
they can use .

I'm lookin to restore my hp netbook to factory settings. I tried to system restore and it wasn't allowed.

if you want to do the factory default setting then you need to install the operating system with the help of recovery cd's.

if you have the recovery cd's you need to connect the usb external cd/dvd drive to the computer.

if you don't have the recovery cd's you can get it from www.hp.com or you can call hp telephone support they will help you out.

Acer aspire netbook won't boot. How can it be restored?

This recovery process helps you restore the C: drive with the original software
content that is installed when you purchase your notebook. Follow the steps
below to rebuild your C: drive. (Your C: drive will be reformatted and all data
will be erased.) It is important to back up all data files before using this option.
Before performing a restore operation, please check the BIOS settings.
1 Check to see if Acer disk-to-disk recovery is enabled or not.
2 Make sure the D2D Recovery setting in Main is Enabled.
3 Exit the BIOS utility and save changes. The system will reboot.
Note: To activate the BIOS utility, press <F2> during POST.
To start the recovery process:
1 Restart the system.
2 While the Acer logo is showing, press <Alt> + <F10> at the same time to
enter the recovery process.
3 Refer to the onscreen instructions to perform system recovery.

I have an HP Mini Notebook 110-1125np and the touchpad isn't working.

Go to device manager by - Right click my computer - choose properties - hardware - Device manager -
Under mice or keyboard and mouse check for either synaptics or alps, if u find any one uninstall it and then reinstall it from hp.com or from the inbuilt partition which is recovery manager.
To access recovery manager , click start - all programes - Recovery manager - choose device driver recovery and install any one of the drivers mentioned above.

All it's doing is showing the up bios screen when

Take out the battery and do a power drain.
Restart the notebook and try to go to BIOS. If you are able to access the BIOS, do a BIOS default by pressing F5 key and then save by tapping F10 key. DISCONNECT ALL THE EXTRA PERPHERALS CONNECTED TO THE PC. Still wont work, send it for a repair.
If unable to go to BIOS, turn off the notebook and turn it upside down, you will see a lid wich has round disc like symbols, open it and take out the HDD and put it back in, close the lid. Then open a lid which has a rectangular structure and then reseat the RAM, close the lid after the reseat. Restart the notebook, if not then you need to send it for repair.

Shrey
