I was just researching the same issue, only for my Lewis Blindstitch. I found a copy of the US Blindstitch maintenance manual on the mansew.com webstite. It looks like the setup is very similar to my machine, so maybe you can adapt the information to yours also. Good luck. Sorry, I was not able to post the hotlink, but this is it spelled out, exactly as it shows.

How to adjust timing for Rex blindstitch hemmer

As long as your machine is not skipping stitches the timing should be fine. Three things to check: take your thread tension assembly apart so you can remove the discs and clean. Debris often gets between them and causes irregular tension. Next check the point of the looper to see if has a burr. If so take 600 sandpaper or crocus cloth and remove. Last-Check the upright pin that the looper passes--it too may have a burr.

How do I adjust the timing on a commercial blind stitch machine?

Don't.
Simple as that. If you don't know how to, you are not a tech. thus take it to someone who has had training, been shown first hand and knows how to.
I mostly deal with domistic sewing machine, but I do deal with a few industrials as well. these sorts of machines don't tend to go out for no reason. if you play with it, trust me on this "YOU WILL MAKE A MESS OF IT" unless you know what you are doing BEFORE you start doing anything with a screw driver.

How do you know the timing is out to start with? good thread, fresh NEW needle that should be in this machine. don't use a needle that is close. use the right one. and test, adjust tentions to suite.

REX blind hem how to lock the stitch

When I purchased my blindstitch machine, I was also told to kind of snap the fabric as you pulled it our of the machine. Like you, I found that to be a little risky. Sometimes I'd just unravel what I'd sewn. I have found the most dependable thing to do is: Before removing the fabric from the machine, snip the thread between the fingers of the looper as it approaches the needle. If the loop is broken, the chain stitch will not pull out. If you cut the loop as it approaches the needle, you will get a bit longer tail so the needle doesn't come unthreaded on the next run. If you find you need a bit longer thread tail, you can pull a bit on that loop before cutting. As long as the needle has passed through the loop on the previous stitch, you'll be fine.

REX blind stitch hemming machine motor quite hot. Locking the sti

When you tighten the belt it is a problem if it isn't adjusted right. You need to loosen the belt again. When you are pushing on the foot control the motor will begin to run. At the same time you can adjust the belt by carefully moving the motor. You will notice the motor speed will change as you do this. Stop adjusting the motor belt when you hear the motor speed at it's highest speed. Tighten down. Now, give it a try.
