My maytag will not start

Hello,

Normally this means the control board behind the panel has failed. You can replace this by yourself it's really simple.

Remove the three screws on the back of the control panel and tilt the panel up and out of the way. Next unhook the white ribbon connector that hooks the control panel to the mother board.

If the main wire harness coming in has 110v replace the control. The control is clipped into position with one small screws on the front of the gray housing.

Maytag mce8000 ayw. Want to remove plastic cover

The font panel must be removed. This may be done by removing the control console (open upper cabinet doors to find screws behind the console). After you remove the control console, the screws along the top of the lower front panel are easily accessible. Disconnect the two interlock switches, remove the grounding clip attached to the bulkhead & lift the panel off the two lower clips. Inside the panel is the housing that leads to the exhaust blower. Just clean out the mess & reverse the process to replace the parts.

Control Panel Problem on a Maytag DW MDBTT79AWW

I had this same problem, ordered the replacement control panel from whirlpool. The new panel worked for two weeks, then stopped working again. OUCH!
The replacement part costs $264.34 and has no warranty if you do it yourself.
I think I am now going shopping for something other than a Whirlpool or Maytag machine. They have terrible customer service.

How do i remove the drum on a maytag top-loading washer.MAV 7000aww

If you want to remove the drum of your maytag wahser follow this procedure:
  1. Disconnect the power supply to the Maytag dryer by unplugging it from the wall outlet.
  2. Use a screwdriver to remove the three screws located at the top of the control console.
  3. Pull the control console forward to release the tabs that hold it to the Maytag dryer top. Maneuver the control panel out of your way without disconnecting any wires.
  4. Use a putty knife inserted between the top and front panel to disengage the retaining clips that secure the top panel of the Maytag dryer. Lift the top panel up, and remove it from the dryer.
  5. Use needle nose pliers to remove the wires from the door switch terminals. The door switch is located just inside the front right corner. Grasp the wire leads with the pliers and pull them off the terminals.
  6. Use a screwdriver to remove the retaining screws that hold the front and side panels together on the Maytag dryer. Lift the front panel up and out of the work area.
  7. Use a screwdriver to remove the Maytag dryer drum light lens screw. Press the locking tabs on the light socket, and remove it from the cavity of the drum.
  8. Use a socket wrench to remove the four retaining bolts that secure the drum bulkhead to the sides of the Maytag dryer.
  9. Reach your hand beside the drum and the motor, and push the idler pulley forward to release tension on the belt. Make notes of how the belt is routed on the pulleys, and then remove the belt from the motor pulley and idler pulley.
  10. Grab the belt with one hand, and the Maytag dryer drum with the other. Pull the drum out of the front of the dryer.

My maytag washer stoped during the cycle with 8

You may have blown the internal fuse located in the lid switch. Could be you over loaded the washer and blew the fuse.
Unplug the washer and remove the four screws holding the control panel front in place. Two screws on top and two screws under control panel.
Remove the control panel and tilt forward.
Locate the lid switch assemble and remove glass fuse and inspect.
Door switch assembly should be replaced. When you order the proper fuse it should come with the door switch assembly.
Replace assembly. Reinstall the front control panel and four screws.
Plug machine in and test.
