We have a Admiral Top Freezer Refrigerator Model# LTF2112ARB Ser# 54685160JL The freezer is working fine. But the fridge quit working about a week ago, it's on the highest setting and still no luck? What should I do?
Something tells me u should check ur cold control thermostat for OHMS and for Voltage? It could cause ur fan and compressor to not come on if bad?
You need to defrost the fridge, turn off the fridge for 5 to 6 hours and open the door to Aug. well defrost. After this period must be powered On fridge if you will improve work that is poured in the cold air will mean the problem is defrosting timer, defrosting or defrosting element termostsat
do not listen to this person. you may get temporary cooling but the problem wil still be there. if your unit does not derost then you will nee either a defrost thermostat, or a timer most likely a thermostat and second a timer /control.
dang my typing is bad... send a response and i will help you find the actual problem and get your refr fixed!
Zwiebel Mr.Tom do not have respect for anyone. Firstly, if you are using a "do not listen to this person . Secondly, if the ice melts , of course you get temporary cooling but the issue wil still be there . This just proves the defrosting system has a problem that needs to fix and can be pointed to one of the components : defrost thermostat and timer or defrosting heater .Thirdly, this type does not have a defrost control board do not know what you want to prove it? ? ? .http://www.appliancepartspros.com/09-wir...
Please go to this page and watch the electrical diagram of the fridge there is very beautifully shown in the diagram is not defrosting board , but derosting timer. The difference is defrosting board costs about 100 to 140 $ this depends on the type of fridge , but defrosting timer is a huge difference in price is 10 to $ 30 this depends on the type of fridge . it is called (make businesses ) ? ? . Rating yourself first , evaluate others later . Do not use the words " I'm sorry " because you do not know what that means. I think you learn so much should be enough .Do not spoil the opinion of the other

Sounds like a defrost problem. if the freezer section gets too much frost build up then it wont be able to move air into the refr section. check to see if you have "heavy" frost in the freezer and if so then a defrost thermostat or a defrost control board may be you problem.

You have something wrong with the vent going from the freezer to the fridge. You probably have a defrost problem and ice is blocking the vent that goes from the freezer and comes out in the roof of the rerigerator compartment. Replace your defrost timer and bimetal.

The compressor not working, relay switch on compressor not working Had repair man put new switch in .Last year put in new fan motor in freezer compartment the cool air was not circulating both problems made the fridge not to cool and drip water

IS THE EVAPORATOR FAN INSIDE FREZZER WORKING AT ALL IF IS NOT WORKING THEN THERE IS NO AIR FLOW TO THE BOTTOM PART
SOURCE: Zanussi fridge freezer - fridge not working
The defrost cycle is not happening like it should, that's what causes the block of ice (and poor air flow). If you have all that defrosted look at the defrost bi-metal, it usually is a small round disk with a couple wires coming out of it and it's clipped on the coils. When it's cold enough, it passes electricity to the heat elements, when it gets hot enough it "opens" and kills power to the heat elements. If that is bad (swollen cracked or bloated) and not passing electricity to the elements that's the problem. Another item would be the defrost timer itself, if it doesn't work (no clock motor turning) then it will never go into defrost. And the last and usually least expected failure would be the heat element themselves not working

the highest setting will do exactly what ur problem is? the highest setting is not optimal should be set on medium. however u may have a defrost timer or defrost terminator issues? as well as bad thermistors in fridge or freezer. cold control thrmostat may also be defective. by the way just because a freezer is cold does not mean its working fine? a bad timer or terminator will cause it to freeze alot and to much actually but u will think its ok when its not? lastly ur heating element may be bad also
also remember check the air flow control vent and knob settings
