Hello! I have a samsung un32c6500 LED tv with a screen problem. I am not a novice when it comes to electronics however i am no tv expert. Ok, when powering the TV on, i hear the default power sound, the lED gray back lighting comes on and is pretty bright and it also changes brightness when pressing source button but there is no OSD options appearing or picture. I have replaced the Main Board with a OEM part and the problem still persist as it did in the beginning. That being said should i purchase a T-Con Board or would it be more wise to focus on the power supply or LEDs? Could the TV enter this state from a bad LED? would the picture be solid gray from a bad T-CON? I would be willing to donate a small sum to whomever helps me repair this issue. Thanks, David
Do you have sound? If you have sound and if the TV is responding to commands then I would say the main is fine. However if you don't have sound or video I would start with the power supply voltages. If you have sound and no video, I would suspect t-con but be advised, some manufacturers are building the t-cons into the panels !!!
Testimonial: "Thank you for the advice.I'm in the hole 85$ ATM it appears the Main board is not the problem nonetheless i am still fixing it! I LOVE THIS TV! The tv plays "boot up" sound when ever powered on or off. However, this is the ONLY sound it makes and does not have a picture OR sound when connected to my computer. TV should play sound even if resolutions are incompatible but i get neither. mputs. Also no options appear when menu is pressed. Source button does change display brightness but no OSD showing selection of imputs appears on screen. Nothing appears on the screen... I have replaced the Main Board and am unsure weather to replace the T-CON or the power supply... MUCH appreciated, David"

I think you need to exchange the Main Board.

Yes based on your testing it appears that the power supply is at fault solely and you can opt to attempt a repair or replace it altogether. Unfortunately you will not be certain that the main board does not also need to be replaced until you have repaired the power supply.

Lightning damage can do a # on LCD TV's. I've seen cases where it took out power supplies and main boards at the same time. I'm not one who likes to use the "shot gun" approach. You would need to get the set professionally diagnosed in my opinion. Where did you get the main board from?? Are you sure it is a working board?

You can't see if a cap is good or bad jus looking at them they have to be measured>They loose their capacitance because they dry overtime.
I do sugest that you replace you power supply module or replace all caps.Possibily you may have a broken line in the PCB
