Tv power supply bn44 00267b

Backlight works when you first turn on the set, then it goes on and off a few times (backlight only, not the TV) and then picture goes out altogether; however, there is sound. I have already changed the power inverter board on the right side (facing the back of the TV and it still happens. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: samsung tv turning off by itself

I had a similar problem where my 61" Samsung DLP was turning itself off very frequently I had resolved to try replacing the bulb. I called a local TV repair place to see if they had my buld in stock. The guy I spoke to actually told me how to fix my problem! There is a little blue switch behind the bulb access door. The inside of the door has a little piece that presses the switch down. The switch is supposed to work correctly weather the switch is in the up or down position but samsung forgot to take expansion from heat into account. If the switch is held in the upper position by the door and the plastic expands to a certain point, it triggers the set to shut off. This does not occur of the switch is held in the lower position. What you need to do is take the access door off and put it back on by sliding it into position from above. That will hold the switch in the down position, eliminating the problem. My set has not **** itself off ever since.

SOURCE: where is the backlight inverter located

It's a really long and narrow board and are usually a pair on both the far left or far right side of the panel.

Check the transistor like components to make sure they are not shorted internally to ground. That's a very common issue.

An easy way to recognize, it will have many black rectangle transformers all lined up in a row top to bottom. They measure about 1.5inch x 1inch but vary with each model.

SOURCE: Samsunb 4051: TV screen turns off sound stays on.

Most likely this set has an "integrated" inverter, as most samsungs do--and this DOES sound like an inverter problem. Make SURE thought, there are no more bad "10 volt" caps on the power supply...ALL of them need to be replaced no matter HOW they look.

SOURCE: One day I turned my tv off and it wouldn't turn

The power board is the usual culprit but I have also seen the main board, T/Con board or the panel itself cause this problem. I would recomend calling a trained tech to figure out the problem. You could spend hundreds of dollars on parts and still not fix it. You can call 1-800-samsung to find nearest service center.

SOURCE: I have a Samsung ln

I have a 46" Samsung LNT4665 with the same problem. Originally had the power supply replaced but 1 day later I have this problem. Auth. repair shop says it's likely inverter, but apparently can't be replaced separately, must be replaced with panel ($700 , and labour on top) might as well buy a new TV.

Any suggestions? I have seen the inverter sold separetly on some websites, anybody try replacing that part?

I can't change Roku TV backlight brightness?

If you're unable to change the backlight brightness on your TCL Roku TV and the backlight remains on even when the LCD screen is turned off, there may be an issue with the TV's firmware or hardware. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Reset the TV: Sometimes resetting the TV to its default settings can fix issues like this. To reset your TCL Roku TV, go to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > Factory Reset. Note that this will erase all your settings and preferences, so you'll need to set them up again.
  2. Check for updates: Make sure your TV's firmware is up to date. Go to Settings > System > System update and check for updates. If there's an update available, download and install it.
  3. Check the cables: Make sure all the cables connected to your TV are securely plugged in. If the backlight issue started after you took the TV apart, it's possible that a cable came loose or wasn't plugged in correctly.
  4. Contact TCL support: If none of these steps work, it's possible that there's a hardware issue with your TV. Contact TCL support for assistance or consider taking the TV to a repair shop.

Vizio modelE55-E2, 55 inch tv goes black after turned on?

There could be several reasons why your Vizio TV goes black after being turned on, including a malfunctioning power supply, a damaged display panel, or a faulty backlight. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure that the TV is properly plugged in and that the power outlet is working. You may also want to try plugging the TV into a different outlet to see if that solves the problem.
  2. Check the display panel: If the TV is getting power but there is no picture, the display panel may be damaged. Look for cracks or other signs of physical damage to the screen. If you find any damage, you may need to replace the display panel.
  3. Check the backlight: The backlight is responsible for illuminating the screen, and if it is faulty, you may experience the symptoms you described. Look for any signs of damage to the backlight, such as flickering or uneven lighting. If the backlight is the problem, you may need to replace it.
  4. Reset the TV: Sometimes resetting the TV to its default settings can solve the problem. To do this, unplug the TV from the power source, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in.
  5. Contact Vizio customer support: If none of these steps solve the problem, you may want to contact Vizio customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or help you arrange for repairs.

Hello. I have a RCA LED50B45RQ TV that has standby light illuminated when turned on with remote white flashes on left side of screen for a couple seconds with no audio or video.

Your RCA LED50B45RQ TV appears to have a problem with the display and audio.
When the TV is turned on and the remote is used, the standby light illuminates, and the screen flashes white on the left side without audio or video.
Various factors could be to blame for this problem.
A few troubleshooting tips are provided below:
  1. Check the connections: Make sure that all the connections between your TV, cable box, or streaming device are securely plugged in.
  2. Check the settings: Ensure that the TV is set to the correct input and that the cable box or streaming device is set to the correct output.
  3. Check the backlight: Some TVs have an adjustable backlight setting. Ensure the backlight setting is turned on and set enough.
  4. Check the cable: If the cable that connects the TV to the wall outlet is damaged, the TV won't turn on. Try unplugging the TV, waiting a few minutes, and plugging it back in.
  5. Check the power supply: The power supply could be malfunctioning. It could be damaged or not provide enough power to the TV.
  6. Check the Main Board: The main board controls all TV functions. It could be malfunctioning, which is causing the TV not to turn on or display correctly.
  7. Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above solutions work, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. Your TV may require repair or replacement.

I have Samsung UN65NU8500FXZA Which is not working.

Based on the symptoms you described, there could be several possible causes for your Samsung UN65NU8500FXZA not working properly. Here are a few potential explanations: Main board issue: The main board is responsible for processing and sending signals to the TV's components. If the main board is faulty, it could cause the TV to display abnormal behavior, such as not turning on, blinking lights, or no picture. You may want to consider replacing the main board to see if this resolves the issue. Power supply issue: The power supply is responsible for supplying power to the TV's components. If the power supply is not working properly, it could cause the TV to turn off or not turn on at all. You can check the power supply unit for any visible signs of damage, such as bulging capacitors or burnt components. If you find any, you may need to replace the power supply unit. Flex cable issue: The flex cable connects the main board to the other components in the TV. If the flex cable is damaged or not seated properly, it could cause issues with the TV's display. You can check the flex cable for any signs of damage or looseness. If you find any, you may need to replace the flex cable. Backlight issue: The backlight is responsible for illuminating the pixels on the TV's screen. If the backlight is not working properly, it could cause the TV to display a dark or black screen. You can check the backlight for any visible signs of damage, such as dark spots or flickering. If you find any, you may need to replace the backlight. Based on your observations, it seems that there may be a problem with the main board or the flex cable. You may want to try replacing these components to see if it resolves the issue. However, it's always a good idea to consult a professional technician if you're unsure how to proceed or if you're not comfortable working with electronics.

LG 60UH8500 logo appears then screen is blank what would be the issue?

Updating the firmware and ensuring power to the TV, and make sure that the cables are plugged in correctly. Unplugging the TV and everything that is attached to the TV for about a few minutes to see if that makes a difference.

Tv immediately turns off

Four flashes indicates a problem with the backlight on the TV. It can be caused by the backlight inverter board (the power supply for the backlight) or by defective backlights in the panel It is USUALLY the backlight inverter board that is bad, but I have seen both components fail at various times. This set is fairly new and should still be withing the one year warranty, so you should contact Sony at 800-222-SONY to get it repaired. Be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!
