Sounds like your regulator is faulty, I would start there. Be sure any regulator you have installed is installed correctly, not backwards as reversed regulators will not work properly. Also be sure to keep regulators clean, there are breather holes in regulators to break vacuum when the regulator opens and closes, if these are clogged the regulator will not open or close properly. Hope this is helpful.

Hi, i am trying to convert my cecilware fryer "FMS 403 HP" to bottled propane, i have been advised i may need a valve.??? can you help?

you will be needing a gas regulator (available at local hardware)when connecting the unit to a bottled propane.you will also need a conversion kit if your unit is designed for natural gas consumption.contact the manufacturer if ever you need a conversion kit.

I am going to purchace a deep fryer from a resteruant and would to know if they can be converted to use propane gas

Yes. The burner orifices and the pilot orifice need to be changed. Also, the regulator or regulator spring needs to be changed on the gas valve.... depends on the brand. That's it.

Flame not going into heat tubes

Make sure the regulator assembly on the gas valve is for propane. Sounds like the gas pressure is too low and the flames aren't going into the burner tubes. Make sure they didn't install an appliance regulator on the back of the fryer. This is not needed as the fryer has a regulator on the gas valve. You can unscrew the cap on the regulator assembly and turn the plastic screw inside all the way in. DO not turn with alot of force. Easy does it.

Hi, I have 3 models 14S and want to convert to propane I changed orfices how do I change control valve to propane ?

On the gas valve is a regulator assembly. On Robertshaw models you change the assembly (held in place by 2 screws). On a Honeywell valve you change the spring inside the regulator assembly.

Connecting the LP Fryer to the propane tank

The gas valve has a regulator on it....but there must be a regulator at the tank that steps it down from tank pressure to operating pressure. Operating pressure for LP is less than 1/2 psi. If you are using this for a trailer....a 40 lb tank would be best.
