Wow, the reason for stopping download is really complicated. You can either download the same song again, or change another source for this same song to get downloaded. Well, your network must be checked as well.
If you still fail, just turn to MP3 Rocket alternative.

This may help as it worked for me. I went into the settings and switched the player from the Rocket to Windows Media Player. This returned the sound on preview.

Are you sure the software is compatible with Windows 8 and 64-bit installations?
You could also check and make sure that you don't have the 32-bit version installed.

I always turn off the add my songs to itunes, and i always move the songs to a sorting folder until i retag all the metadata before moving the songs to folders for each genre and then each artist etc. Nothing ever gets lost. Later i can add to itunes library or SAM Audio Broadcaster library (a disc jocky software). You never know if the mp3 rocket folder may be deleted during an uninstall and update. Also you can turn on a add to my itunes library upon download in the settings.

Just select one of your downloaded songs (while in MP3 rocket) and right click on it, choose explore. This will open to folder to where the music has been downloaded. note the location in the address bar for future reference.. Now you can open Windows Media player, and add songs from the location you just saw..
