I replaced the lamp, but am unable to reset the lamp so that the projector works again. It keeps giving me the message that I need to replace lamp and reset timer. And then it turns off.

1. Switch power ON, and press the TIMER button on the remote controller, or the RESET button
on the control panel, for approximately three seconds. The 'LAMP xxxx hr' message will appear
on the lamp timer on the bottom of the screen.
2. Press the MENU button on the remote controller, or the RESET button on the control panel,
while the lamp timer is displayed. The 'LAMP xxxx ? 0 CANCEL' message will then
appear.
3. Press the and select 0, and wait until the timer display is cleared.

Lamp light just blinks yellow after lamp replacement, tv does not turn on

I will recommend to take the lamp out and slide in again, it might be that your TV havent detect that there is a new lamp. By doing this you will reset the lamp timer. If dont work search in your manual how to reset the lamp timer.

Projection lamp timer reset

I need help resetting the lamp timer. Is there a way to reset the timer w/o the remote? We bought this tv as a floor model 4 yrs ago and they didn't have the actual remote that came with it, so they gave us another remote that works. We replaced the lamp but we keep getting the message that the lamp needs to be replaced and the timer reset. Plus the red lamp indicator is still on. We even used a friend's remote (he has the exact same tv) and it still will not reset the timer.

Lamp keeps burning out. I have had the tv 2 years. The original lamp burned out in 1 year. I have since replaced the lamp at least 3 more times in the following year. Help!

Hi.

Im not at all familiar with your sony model but I do know that when A lamp is replaced you must reset the lamp timer if it is not reset it will cause premature lamp failure.
This is normally in the engineers menu as I said I dont know your model its not one I recognise so im sorry but I cant tell you how to enter service mode.
Hopefully one of the techs on here will know how and help you.
