Your screen digitizer is broken.
I assume it is "touching" without you touching it.
This is due to microscopic damage. Tell your carrier it just "broke" and you should get it repaired.

How to access my Buffalo HD-PNTU3 external hard drive?

dropping it while turned on is fatal as it usually damages the write heads and/or the platters.
if it hit the floor, changes are it's physically damaged the mechanism.
recovering data from a drive with this damage is not cheap as you will have to send it away to be rebuilt. It's impossible to rebuild it yourself.

Dropped my Transcend Storejet25p 5oo gb on floor !

Your hard drive is damaged beyond repair.
When a hard disk makes a clicking sound and the computer does not detect it then the hard disk is faulty. This is commonly known as "The click of death".
There is no way of fixing this hard drive, if you need to recover your data, then there are companies that can recover data off faulty hard drives BUT it will cost you an arm and a leg for their services.

My Transcend Elite Storejet 320GB fell 3 feet down the floor and also I didnt use safely remove when taking it off from the PC. Since then my HD always ask to format though I have done formatting it...

You dropped it on the floor and you removed it from a PC without using the (safely remove) option??? you might as well stab it with a knife and twist it while it's in there....

I'd say it's pretty much DEAD! but you could try deleting the partition (if you don't mind loosing all the data on it) with Windows disk manager in ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS in the control panel than try a format if there is a bit of life left in it this should work...

Hope it helped!

External hard drive stopped driving.

First things first .....check for power cable and data cable and make sure they are not tampered or damaged inside the casing now move to next step>>>
kindly remove all jumpers in HDD now go to
Control panel>Administrative tool>Computer management>Disk management
you can see the disk here and change settings accordingly like assigning path and drive letter if this does not work
then just see that is it recognized in device manager as unrecognized device then update driver for HDD even now if the problem persists
KIndly consult the manufacturer
please do not drop it on the floor.........

Thanks And Regards

Disk read error, please help

If it was dropped on the floor, more than likely, that spinning hard drive is damaged and has failed. The computer caqnnot load the operating system. You will definitely have to replace the hard drive, and hope the data is recoverable. Keep in the mind, the hard drive is constantly spinning, and any shock at 30G's or more can be fatal.

Picture moving a turntable while its playing, accept, instead of spinning at 33.3 rpm's its spinning at 5400 rpms, faster than most car engines......

Good luck.

Lightly Dropped Seagate 100GB External Hard Drive

Unfortunately, this probably means the read/write heads were jarred and can no longer function properly. That's usually fixable, but it's a very expensive fix because the parts are inside the hard drive and the data surfaces are very delicate... Most people are better off simply replacing the hard drive unless the data is absolutely vital.
