Washing machine I have a fisher and paykel smart drive 703, it is 10 years old and has a burning smell after spin cycle, it also is making anew noises like a winding noise like is is struggling a bit .

Has it drained the water out. It will not spin until completely empty. If it is not draining then Iwould say the burning smell is the drain pump overheating. Do not try to run it like that as the drain pump will short out the main control board eventually. Bail the water out by hand, tip the machine back against the wall and check the pump on the front right side of bowl. Replace the pump.

It won't spin until all the water is drained out. The drain pump may be blocked or faulty. Fix the drain pump fault first then deal with the filling issue. They will not be related.

the buzzing noise is the pump trying to work, but it cannot due to a blockage. unplug the washer and you can lean the washer backwards and remove the pump to unblock. the fill error is probably unrelated, and is an inlet valve issue.

This is a belt drive machine, it takes more power to spin than to wash if the belt is worn it could spin slower, do you smell any belt russery burnt smell?

Unplug the machine have someone tilt the machine back and look under the machine for a little fan on a motor give it a turn to see if it spins it might just be sticky or it may need replacing.

There is a transmission clutch that engages for the spin cycle. A gear has worn or broken a tooth. Replacement of the transmission hispeed spin cycle assembly is required.

The other comments are of no use. You must get parts from an Authorized Fisher & Paykel dealer, or have an authorized repairman service the machine.
