Toto toilet Power Gravity intermittently running

I have just changed the flapper and it still intermittently keeps running.
I also took apart the valve and cleaned it. Stopped running briefly now problem has resumed?
Should I replace the complete valve or just the Replacement cap?
Any other suggestions?
I also have TOTO. Put food coloring in tank and it does NOT show in the toilet bowl. I can see water running down the inside of the bowl but it is NOT the color of the food coloring. It is clear. Now what?

Water fills to the overflow and keeps running. To stop it, I have to remove the cover and push down the float. This will stop the running water until the next flush.

You need to either bend the arm that connects tot he float down (if it is the type with the ball float) or adjust the height of the fill valve assembly. THis accomplished by slightly twisting the valve assembly carefully and sliding down a half of an inch or so and then twisting back to lock it in place.

This should fix you up right.

My toto power gravity siphon won't stop running. Suggestions as to how to fix would be greatly appreciated. Cheer, Mark

You have a problem with your flapper not seating all the way so the water is not filling in the tank to lift the ball **** to shut off the water first make sure the flapper is ok

Toto Drake with Gmax that oesn't completely shut off.

When you look in the bowl of the toilet, do you see the water trickling? If so then the flapper needs to be replaced.

Also, does the water run intermitentedly? As in every 2 to 5 minutes does the water kick back on to refil the tank? If yes then the answer is yet again the flapper.

Now if the water is constantly running then you can try bending the float arm (the ron that is connected to the big floating ball) down and see if that helps. If not then the next step is to replace the fill valve assembly.

Both of these together will run you about $20-$30.

The sound of the water does not stop until a long time after usag

Check to see if something is keeping the timing cup or flapper, depending on which you have, up for an extended amount of time. This may be something you will have to replace because of normal wear and tear.

Toto toilet Power Gravity intermittently running

I suggest that you replace the cap with the new seal, it sounds as tho the valve is not shutting off and the bowl fill tube continues to run. Have you adjusted the water level to 3/4 of an inch below the overflow tube. If not, try that.

Did you replace the flapper with a genuine Toto replacement flapper? If you didn't, they are slightly different. Toto toilets are fantastic but you do need to use OEM parts for repair.
