My 1080i has a triple picture, can you help?

i would suggest a different refresh rate. should be in display properties.

Does the Genie box have screen settings in in? Sometimes hd will show in smaller screens. Makes the picture nicer. If you adjust the screen size with your remote the high definition "niceness" will not be there.

Listed as a laptop--if a TV is a Samsung or what?

make sure your speaker to your sheron sound isnt to close to it .also if dvd player is the source then move away from tv will demagnatize the tv theres a magnet in them

Try these steps first -

Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it, then beep again 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear this second beep

Wait for the PS3 to reset its display.

This will now choose the best setting for your TV and everything should be ok.

If you still get problems, go back to where you purchased it from or contact Sony, as it is under a year old it is still within warranty laws etc

Tv has no picture or sound; will go out while watching. The picture will go into a line and sound and picture will go out; shortly after that tv will turn off. Did this last nite and I did not turn back on until this morning, it worked no problem. On for couple of hours and now it's out again. What could be problem and how do I fix myself

I've had a KP 53HS10 for close to 8 years I think. 4 years ago the picture started blinking after long use, then more and more often. I had a repairman come and replace the tuner card (that's all I know about what he did). Now that I finally have HD from cable, I've found that 720 doesn't work and 1080i works, but the picture blinks on and off apparently struggling with some inner problems. Everything looks great, for a second and then it blinks. The red light blinks 5 times repeatedly while this is going on. I called SONY 5 times means get a repair man. I searching forms like this for help as well.

Chuck the TV - probably It depends on the repair facilities available where you live. In big urban areas the cost of staffing a repair shop is such it can cost nearly as much per hour just to look at an item is it does to buy the next one-plus you get all the latest features.
