well i have the same the proble with my sylvania plaza t.v however when i plugg it in into the socket the red light blinks then the green light comes on but then it just turns off completley...and the red light is still on ? is there a way to fix this problem or is the t.v permently broken??

I was able to use the code search on a GE 4 function remote, I found the remote for $5 at Big Lots.
I started the search with the TV on and let it run until it shut the TV off.
Steps I took, press and hold the setup key - then release, press and release the TV button, press and release the power button, after TV turns off then press the #1 button to lock in the code. This remote does almost everything but the sleep button.

I have a Sylvania LD320SS8A and I turn it on and the green light comes on and no picture???? Just black... I can hear some sound but no picture...
