My hp2110 printer shows yellow stripes when printing photos. Hv downloaded HP printing diagnostic utility and no errors were reported. If just using scanner to copy photos, prints ok, but copying photos in library printer prints yellow horizontal stripes.

Go into the printer and do a test print. start>printer & faxes>right click on the printer in question>properties>printer preference button> test print ... try the printer's own test print. This is usually caused by a poor print head, low ink, poor cartridge or the need for calibration. Look in the maintenance tab in the printer properties for head cleaner, jet cleaner etc. This also happens with refill ink cartridges.

If you have a white stripe in only one color, then you might have a bad developer. Each color has its own developer

Changing the developer is not super easy. You'd have to remove the left cover, HV Power Supply board, then remove Image Unit and the Developer Frame, where all the Developers are mounted. Detach the feed hose for the Developer you want to change and release the Developer's 2 spring clips.

The attached photo shows old developers which have dead spots that would cause the missing stripes on prints.

The problems is..... the printer is stuck on a print error....

Now have a "HP Printer C6100 All-in-One series"!!
so you would need to download "HP print diagnostics utility" for type of windows you have on your computer ......

the print diagnostics utility should fix the print error right away....(To do this... you must install the driver and any software for the printer... to make sure that there isn't any communication problem between the printer and the pc... )

My hp all in one 6500 keps saying that i cant print because its not connected to a computor but it is?


If you're getting an error about the connection you have to make sure that the USB cable (if connected by USB) is plugged in correctly, or you may try reseating it.Unplug the USB cable. Reconnect the USB cable to the back of the printer and plug the other end to a USB slot in the computer. Make sure that you hear a sound in the pc when you connect the USB, that means that your pc has detected something. Also try downloading a Print Diagnostic Utility from HP website, this tool is pretty useful printing probems.HP website, then click on Support and Drivers, then go to Download software and drivers, key in the product name and hit enter. Choose your OS and hit next, click on Utility and Diagnostic Tools and click on HP Print Diagnostic Utility.
If connected wirelessly, you can also try the HP Print Diagnostic Utility. If you get an error on connectivity, make sure that the printer and the computer are on the same IP address. If both have the same IP address and your pc still can't detect the printer try updating the software by downloading it from HP website.

I am getting an error message, "A printer has occurred. Turn off the printer, them press On button to turn on. See your documentation." I have done this a number of times on a number of days....

Once installed, just click on the PRINT DIAGNOSTIC ICON to fix errors in just a second. Then try to printer again after restarting your computer and your printer.

The Print Diagnostic Utility diagnoses and resolves common printing problems and communication problems, including:

    • USB: Ensures that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product is working correctly.
    • Network: Ensures that the network connection between your computer and your network is working correctly. If the tool detects a network connectivity problem, you will be prompted to run the HP Network Diagnostic Utility for better results.
  • Spooler : Automatically restarts the print spooler, which sends print jobs from the computer to the product, if it has been stopped.
  • Online status : Checks if the product has been paused or set to offline, and then sets the status back to online if necessary.
  • Device manager : Checks for problems in Device Manager that would prevent printing.
  • Print queue : Checks for and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a log of print jobs waiting to print).

Screen showing the message "remove and check right cartridge". Have done this several times and still can't print


I've had the same error:

Hold down the following keys:

Photosmart Express, Photo Fix, Reprints, Print Photos and then Help.

You'll get the message: "Enter Special Key Combo"

Press OK.

Scroll over to Reports then self test: and press ok, it should print. a selftest report.

If you get an error Pen in Chute 1, or 2, has tsr failure: Call/Chat with an HP technician.
