SOURCE: Sony CMT-BX20i the cd player

hello, have you tried cleaning the laser you can buy a disc cleaner or you can do it by hand. with the power off take the cover off you see another plastic cover take this off you should be able to see the laser eye use a cotton bud with either a proper cd lens cleaner or nailviarnish remover if this does not solve the problem then theres a fault with the laser fingers crossed

Set time on sonymp3 cmt-bx20i

You need to use buttons on the remote to set the clock.

1.Turn on the system.

2.To select the clock set mode press TIMER MENU. If the current mode appears on the display, press up and/or down to select
"CLOCK SET?" and then press (+)

3.To set the time. Press up and/or down to set the hour, and then press (+) to confirm. Repeat to set minutes.

The clock needs to be re-set whenever power is lost to the unit.

The clock can be momentarily displayed when the system is off by pressing DISPLAY. The clock is then displayed for about 8
seconds.

Hi, the cd player for this Sony system works fine with most of my cds. However, some of my older ones and burned ones don't produce any sound. The system recognizes the cd's cause I can skip tracks and see...

The only audio formats supported by the CMT-BX20i are "CD-DA and MP3". When DVDs were first getting started, they didn't have standardized audio and video formats. The burned videos are likely AC3. For both your old and burned DVDs, you can convert them on your computer with an audio video program like Nero or DVD Videosoft.

My headphone jack is not working at all. I just purchased it today, the sound card is saying no errors, the sound plays fine out of the speakers and the headphone do work Im using them on my cell now

Take it to the Service center. need to replace the headphone output connector's. these will happen from Moistor,Dirt block or Dry solder in the Laptop Motherboard. best of luck. ( Try, put headphone jack in and out for 20 to 30 times, or check the sound comes out via headphone, when pressing the connected jack.) best of luck

My Sony CMT-HPX9 has no sound

If it's not the mute, try replacing the output fuse. Did you hear a POP last time it was operating? Good luck
