Try this link to Emachines page. After you put in the make and model and stuff you should be able to view the user manual for your machine. If this isn't what you need you are able to contact support from this page and maybe they can direct you to a more detailed explanation that may help more.
eMachines use specially-made boards for them so there is no manual as such as the boards aren't made to be distributed. Basically they would all use the same sort of connectors and blocks (and cases) to an extent that anybody can plug a connector into the right place and it will work.

The easy way to get round this is to find the power button first - try each two pin connector first, press the button and see if it comes on. If not, move along on the block until you find the right one. Then it's just a case of trial-and-error on the other ones to find reset, power LED and HDD led.

SOURCE: same problem - green "power" LED on the MB but no activity

Hello,

This series of machines is known for this issue. You can get a replacement motherboard for your pc from a website at www.barebonekit.com they boards run from $35 to about $65 plus shipping. This is much cheaper than you can get them most other places. We order from them on a regular basis and have had no problems. I hope this helps, if so please rate the solution.

Thanks,
Buddy

SOURCE: I need to know what colored wires go where on my customers PC hdd led/ power sw/ and power led

the only reason to have removed them was to switch the board or put the board in a new case..if you put a new board the new board is what you have to go by, look in the book, or take the number off the motherboard and go to yahoo and type in schematic for xxxxx board.
DO NOT go by emachine model as its worthless, too many models have different hardware.
This is all basic repair 101, how do you have customers? lol

If you look closely at the board there should be labels printed. The power switch plug can plug in either direction, but the LED must be the correct direction for it to work. No damage can be done by plugging the LED in backwards.

Hi ,, i have just fitted a intel d845gvsrb in my pc but i am not sure where the tower speaker wire , reset sw , power sw , power led , h h d led and the black single one go`s can you please help me ..

The Picture below shows you the locations of the places to put those wires are in relation to your motherboard. In yellow is the power switch and such. and the audio connection is in red.
avatar23454_9.jpg

The Pin layout for the power and other connector are as follows:
avatar23454_10.jpg

the layout for the audio header is as follows: avatar23454_8.jpg

To install the cable that connects a front panel audio solution to the front panel audio header, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer. Turn off the computer and disconnect the AC power cord.
  2. Locate the front panel audio header (J8A1).
  3. Remove the three jumpers from the header (this disables the back panel audio connectors).
  4. Install a correctly keyed and shielded front panel audio cable.
  5. Connect the audio cable to the front panel audio solution.

To restore back panel operations follow these steps:
1. Remove the front panel audio cable. 2. Install a jumper on pins 5-6 (rear R channel). 3. Install a jumper on pins 9-10 (rear L channel). 4. Install a jumper on pins 1-2 (mic). 5. Replace the cover.

My power led connector (green, white) power sw connector (black, white) got out of place and i dont where they go

The eMachines T3302 desktop computer, uses an FIC K8M-800M motherboard.
(First international Computer, Inc.)

Where those wires go on the motherboard, is termed a Front panel header.

The Front Panel is the plastic front bezel of your computer.
(Where the Power On button is, Power On LED light, and so on)

Looking at the motherboard with the Processor to the Top, Ram Memory slots to the Right, the Front Panel header is at the bottom right corner, and over to the left.

Look at the jumper block in the bottom right corner. Right in the corner.
This is the LED type selector, jumper block.
Has 6 pins.
3 across the Top, 3 across the Bottom.

(This jumper block is to set whether you are using a Power On LED light, that has Dual Colors, or a Single color.
The default setting of the jumper on the block, is set to use a Dual Color LED light, for the Power On LED)

Move to the left of this jumper block. The Front Panel header is to the left of this jumper block.

(FIC terms it a Front Panel Block Connector)

It should be White in color.
Is right against the bottom edge of the motherboard. (Parallel to the outside edge of the motherboard)

Has two rows of pins sticking up.
5 across the Top.
4 across the Bottom.

The pins are numbered from the Right, going towards the Left.

(From the Power On LED jumper block, towards the Front Panel header)

On the Top row going from Right, towards the Left,
Pins 1 ,3, 5, 7, and 9.

On the Bottom row going from the Right, towards the Left,
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 1 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
(Green)

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Power On switch.
Pin 5 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
(Black)

[Although it really doesn't matter which way the wires go. It's a SWITCH]

C) Pins 2 and 4 are for the HarDDrive activity LED.
Pin 2 is for the Positive wire ( + )

D) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Reset switch.
(IF used)

If any of your LED lights are dim, after attaching the Positive wire for each LED, it's because the Positive wire is on the wrong pin.
Switch the wires around

eMachines T3302 desktop computer?

According to my information it uses an FIC K8M-800M motherboard.
(First International Computer, Inc.)

(Looking in-between the brown AGP expansion slot, and the first white PCI slot, you should see K8M-800)

http://www.fic.com.tw/product/motherboard/AMD/ficimages/k8m-800m.jpg

IF, my information is correct about the motherboard used, I would like you to download the Motherboard Manual for it.

(I haven't worked on one of these puppies in my shop yet, so I don't know if the eMachines T3302 uses an FIC K8M-800M mobo. MOtherBOard)

http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/OEM/eMachines/manuals/index.html

Under the Filename heading in the Middle, scroll down, and Left-click on - FIC K8M-800M

This is a Zip file. (Compressed file for easier transfer)

Watch the download progress bar, and let the file download all the way. ( 1 minute, 45 seconds for me)

Where the file will go;

Windows XP:
It will go to your My Documents folder (Start > My Documents), or to a subfolder in My Documents. Downloads.
Or it may go directly to your desktop screen.

(Yellow folder icon, with a zipper in the middle. K8M-800_manual
underneath)

When you see the file, Double-click on it.
Go up to the left side of the screen.
Left click on - Extract All Files

Left-click on Next, and Finish.

In the small window left-click on the PDF icon with K8M-800_manual.

Barring you cannot download, or open this Zip file.

Orient the motherboard in your view, so we are both looking at it the same way.

Processor to the top.
Ram Memory slots to the right.

Bottom right corner has the CMOS battery, and the Front Panel header is to the left of the battery.
Under the Front Panel header it has F-PNL

Your pinout of the Front Panel header is upside down.

There are 5 pins across the top.
There are 4 pins across the bottom.

The Top pins are numbered Odd.
The Bottom pins are numbered Evenly.

The numbering starts from the Right side of the motherboard, (CMOS Battery side), going towards the Left.

Top row, going from Right to Left,
1, 3, 5, 7, and 9

Bottom row, going from Right to Left,
2, 4, 6, and 8. (There is No pin 10)

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HDD LED. (Harddrive activity light)

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch.

C) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On light. (Indicates power is on)

D) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch. (Turns the computer on)

Pulled off front cover. three sets of wires came off. need to know where to reconnect. white/red wire HDD LED, white/green wire POWER LED, white/black wire POWER SW

Hi. You may want to check your motherboard for this wires to connect to, First, check your motherboards manual and look where the FRONT PANEL is located, then on the front panel or in the manual itself it will tell you where are those wires should be connected to. If you dont have the manual for your motherboard search it on google and do the same, and if still you coudnt find it over the internet then just look closely on your motherboard and look for the words HDD LED, POWER LED and POWER SW, usually those words or the FRONT PANEL is located on the left side bottom part of your motherboard. Hope This Helps

Jumpers

Generally you don't need to know jumper settings in newer motherboards. What you may be referring to is the front panel i/o connector. This has the power switch, reset switch, power LED, hdd LED, and etc.

To download the motherboard manual, please go to http://download.aopen.com.tw/userdownload_List.aspx?RecNo=6027&Model=435

Hope this helps!

Tyan le s2510 reconnection to case panel

If you go to Tyan ftp site ftp://ftp.tyan.com/manuals you should have no problem finding the .pdf version of your manual with all jumper and connection settings. I would do so quickly, as the company is making changes to the website. Also, if you look very closely the front panel connections are usually printed on the board but can be difficult to read.
